Welcome to SmartScore 64 MIDI NE

SmartScore 64 MIDI Edition NE (New Edition) is the fastest way to play back your printed sheet music as well as save to MIDI files. MIDI Edition is limited to processing printed music with up to 4 parts (four staff lines per system). This means you can recognize and edit piano scores, individual parts, lead sheets, solo instrument or solo duet arrangements.

Scan printed sheet music or import PDF music files from the Internet and other sources. Play back, transpose, rearrange, isolate parts and print back out in just minutes. Edit the recognition result in the score view and in the integrated MIDI editor and export it as MIDI and MP3.

Recognition

The MIDI edition recognizes and processes scanned and imported sheet music templates with a maximum of 4 staves per system: individual parts, lead sheets, duets, piano music, trios, S/A/T/B, quartets, etc. Processing of the recognized notation elements as in a classic notation program.

LIMITATIONS: No recognition or editing of lyrics, text, chord names, fingerings or TAB.

Input

Scan scores directly with the integrated scanning interface. Import PDF sheet music from the Internet and other sources. Preview and repair scanned pages in SmartScore’s Image Editor prior to recognition.

NOTE: We recommend you create a "working directory" on your desktop or elsewhere to store all your working files (PDF, TIF, ENF, MID, etc.) SmartScore always returns to the same location after opening and saving files.

Playback

Includes powerful playback controls and fully featured mixer (volume, pan, mute, solo, tempo) mapping instrument sounds to the proper voice, staff line and system. Sound fonts and AUVST-Instrument plugins, MIDI editor, drum track, editing playback properties of notation elements are all supported.

Note editing

Correct mistakes (there will be some). Rearrange/edit notation, relink parts so that optimized scores and those with multiple endings or jumps play back correctly.
