SmartScore upgrade comments from actual users...
SmartScore X really opens up a lot of possibilities for a blind pianist such
as myself. Braille music is very time-consuming to read, expensive to
transcribe, and the turnaround time to have it transcribed--if you can
afford to have it done--takes at LEAST six months, MAYBE.
Scanning my selected piece of sheet music took only minutes, and the results
are astounding. It is wonderful that a blind person has almost no need to
have sighted assistance in order to find out how the scan sounds; your
playback feature is WONDERFUL and gives GREAT audible feedback...and the
errors are so few.
I'm not sure if it was your intention to make this product as accessible as
it has been for me, but whatever it was... this is a small thank-you from
one satisfied customer.

Your SmartScore is absolutely the hottest music technology on the
market right now (and we own them all)). My class is having fantastic success
with difficult band scores that have very small notes.

I'd like to add my appreciation for the huge improvement in SmartScore.
I started with SS 3.0 MIDI Edition and quickly upgraded to Pro...
Now SSPro 5.2 has come along and the difference is amazing. I scanned in a
piece (8 pages of SATB and piano) and almost everything was there.
I hand-corrected a few missed triplets (conveniently highlighted for me
because of excess beats in a bar) and that was that. Save as MIDI, move into
a couple of other applications to add some backing and rhythm, humanise the
piano playing, adjust MIDI patches and dynamics to taste. Start of scanning
to saving the finished MIDI: two hours. With SS3 I'd still be proofreading
for dotted quarters.

I am really enjoyng SmartScore 5. I've had all the versions since Version 1.
There's no comparison with the others, it's considerably much faster, recognition
is more acurate, edition of the music sheet is faster more acurate and easy
with the color change of the notes.
I WILL WILL RECOMMEND YOU TO OTHER MUSIC EDITORS AND PLAYERS.

I just got my copy of SmartScore 5.1.0 for my Mac PC G5 tower and boy
do I notice a difference! I registered right away and launched into work.

For the record, I am really impressed by how well V. 5 recognizes scanned material.
I do a good bit of scanning of older music sheets and I am having a high rate of success.
Of course it is close to 100% on a nice, new, clean copy!

I had difficulty installing the 5.2.1 update and the error message said to
call you and you would be able to assist me. I have always received calm,
courteous support from Musitek personnel, particularly the customer support
staff. As usual, my problem was simple to fix on your end and I am now
operating smoothly again. Many software companies could take a few pointers
from you. Musitek produces a good product, delivers what it promises (even
if it takes a little longer to deliver than some would like) and then backs
up that product. What more can you ask of a company?

Thank you very much. By way of a testimonial, I have a very low range
(E flat above low C to E flat above middle C) and cannot sing most stuff.
Musitek allows me to transpose easily into a playable piece of sheet music.
The (xxxxx) engine in a lot of cases delivers a very strange output which my
accompanist HATES. We won't even discuss the learning curve for (xxxxx).
Our choir director has or will shortly purchase Pro 5.1 for the church. Anyone
that does any singing outside of the shower should own SmartScore !!!

I really appreciate the SmartScore 5 web update and activation page.
My computer at home doesn't have internet and I used to have to use a public one
for updates and activations. (copy to a usb drive). The new method is really easy to
use and I don't have to make phone calls for codes and support.
